Meet the Owner

Owner Steve Clingerman comes from a long line of lawn care fanatics. After high school, Steve attended Penn State University in pursuit of a degree in Landscaping and Horticulture Science. When life led him in other diretions, he spent 8 years working in residential construction.and the past 15 years working as a Locomotive Engineer. Always putting his family before himself, he put his own dreams on pause...until now! If you ask Steves wife and kids when he is the happiest, they will tell you, its when he's on his mower!

"So many times my wife would come home from work and it used to drive her crazy that I would make her take off her shoes and walk around the house with me to look at our rose bushes and other flowers. But if your yard isnt soft enough to be enjoyed in your bare feet, then its not soft enough. And that's how Barefoot Lawn Care was born! I am so excited to finally be doing what makes me happy. This was the plan all along." -Steve

Steve is originally from Hollidaysburg, Pa. He now lives in Altoona with his wife, 2 children, and his mascot, Rocko, his pride and joy English Bulldog.

Business Office Manager

Steve's wife Alisha serves as Barefoot's Office Manager. In addition to Alisha's career in education and also as a nurse, she handles phone calls, text messages and emails when Steve isn't able to. She also handles billing, invoicing, and quotes. She is also responsible for handling the company's marketing and social media accounts.
